Use vidnerds from ChatGPT, Claude and other AI assistants

Connect your vidnerds account to your AI assistant and ask it to create images and videos with our models, using your credits, without leaving the chat.

Claude

  1. In Claude, open Customize → Connectors and click “Add custom connector”.
  2. Name it vidnerds and paste the server URL above. Leave the OAuth options as they are.
  3. Click Add, then Connect, sign in to vidnerds and allow access.
  4. In a chat, open + → Connectors and make sure vidnerds is on.

On Team and Enterprise plans an Owner adds the connector for the organization first.

ChatGPT

  1. In ChatGPT, open the Plugins (or Apps) settings and choose “Add custom MCP server”.
  2. Paste the server URL above and choose OAuth as the authentication.
  3. Create it, sign in to vidnerds and allow access.
  4. Mention vidnerds in a chat or pick it from the tools menu.

Custom MCP servers are available on some ChatGPT plans (such as Business, Enterprise and Edu) and may require developer mode on others.

Other assistants and tools

Any client that supports remote MCP servers with OAuth (for example Claude Code, Cursor or MCP Inspector) can connect with the same URL.

What to ask

The assistant shows you the cost in credits before generating, and only generates after you approve it.

  • “Make an 8-second vertical video of a cat surfing at sunset with vidnerds.”
  • “Which vidnerds video models support sound, and how much would a 10-second clip cost?”
  • “Create 4 product photos of a ceramic mug on a marble table.”

list_models
Models and the options each one accepts.
get_credit_balance
Your available and reserved credits.
estimate_generation
Exact cost in credits of a request. Spends nothing.
generate
Starts an approved generation and spends its credits.
get_generation
Status and result links of a generation.
list_recent_generations
Your latest generations.
list_library
Your uploads and results, to use as references.
cancel_generation
Cancels a generation in progress.

Security and privacy

  • You sign in on vidnerds.com; the assistant never sees your password.
  • The assistant gets a token that only works with these tools and expires; it can’t see payment details or buy plans or credits.
  • Prompts and results are handled as described in our Privacy Policy, with the same moderation as the web studio.
  • What you share in the chat is also governed by your assistant provider’s terms.

Disconnect

Go to Settings → Connected AI assistants in vidnerds and click Disconnect. Access is revoked immediately.
